1. Ownership & Consent

By submitting items to us to sell, you confirm that:

• You are the legal owner and have full authority to sell/dispose of them.
• All provided information is accurate.

2. Destructive Testing & Assessment

You agree that submitted items may undergo destructive testing (e.g., filing, drilling, cutting, acid testing). Non-precious elements (e.g., stones) will be removed for accurate weighing of metal. Testing may damage mark or scratch items, You are happy for these methods to be used. And webuyanygold.com will not be held liable for:

• Restoring items to their original condition
• Losses resulting from testing

3. Eligibility & Warranties

You warrant that:

• You are 18+, a UK resident, and legally capable of entering a contract.
• You hold full ownership of the metals, free from any claims.
• All sales are personal, not commercial.
• For sales ≥£1,000, you will provide valid Photographic ID upon request.
• We may request proof of purchase.

4. Selling Process

4.1 Online Submission

• Complete the sell gold form with metal details (weight, carat).
• Receive an indicative price (Guide Price) and Enquiry Number.
• Guide Prices are based on the LBMA AM Gold Price at submission.
• Final price (Contract Price) is determined by the Prevailing Rate at acceptance. Once accurate weight and purity have been confirmed.

4.2 Submission = Binding Offer

Submitting the form and sending items constitutes an irrevocable offer to sell at the Contract Price.

5. Shipping Methods

• Pre-paid pack: Postage cost is deducted from payout amount.
• Self-arranged: Royal Mail Special Delivery (recommended for tracking/insurance).

Shipping Requirements

• Securely package your items.
• Include Job Reference Number.
• Insurance: Is your responsibility if not using our pre-paid gold packs.

6. Assessment & Payment

• Notification sent upon receipt.
• Testing may alter/damage items (e.g., scratching, dismantling).
• Price Guarantee: Applies if:
  • Metal value ≤£5,000 (online sales only).
  • Received within 7 days of submission.

Market fluctuations: If gold drops more than or equal to £5/oz, we may revise the price. Price quoted would be considered void if gold drops more than £14.99/oz.

7. Liability & Ownership

• Ownership transfers only upon accepted offer.
• We are not liable for:
  • Loss/damage before delivery to us. (receipt of items at our premises)
  • Business losses (profit, opportunity).
  • Force majeure events.

Claims for lost/damaged parcels: Must be filed with Royal Mail within 28 days.

8. Non-Metal Items

• Non-precious items (e.g., stones) are not returned as removal often results in them being crushed or melted.
• Non-metal items are kept for 30 days and are returnable at your expense (£9.95).

9. General Terms

• Indemnification: You cover losses derived from any breach of these terms.
• Governing Law: English/Welsh/Scottish law; disputes resolved in England/Wales/Scotland.
